بنام خدا کانسار طلای کارلین Carlin Mine Carlin-type Au Deposits Discovery of the Carlin gold deposit in the Tuscarora Mountains north of Carlin, Nevada in 1962. In the years following its discovery, deposits with similar mineralogy, host rocks, and trace elements to Carlin have become known as ‘Carlin-type deposits’. Carbonate-replacement gold deposits associated with alkaline igneous intrusions similar in many, but not all, respects to the Carlin-type are termed ‘Carlin-like’ deposits. Mostly located in Nevada, Utah, Idaho, California, and China. Grade varies from 1 to 14 ppm gold and Hg and Ag are often by-products. SYNONYMS: Carlin-type gold, sediment-hosted micron gold, siliceous limestone replacement gold, invisible gold Two Deposit Subsets 1) Jasperoidal majority of gold and/or silver is hosted in jasperoid or in quartz veins and related silicified wall rocks. Ore zones are limited to narrow shear zones. 2) Carlin-type gold is evenly distributed in the host rocks which do not always appear silicified. Ore zones are pod-like and extend up to 10 m away from fault zones .
